OUR PROVISION

KC WEX Training is a recognised, alternative training provider with Buckinghamshire County Council, for young people aged 14 years and over with an EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan).

Our main aim is to support young people to progress, whether that be back into a formal educational setting, gaining an internship, apprentiship or employment. We recognise that many young people don't fit into mainstream education for a number of reasons and it is our mission to improve the outcomes of these young people.

With a big emphasis on hands on learning, with practical elements, blended with some small group teaching and lots of fun, we achieve positive progressions for all our learners. We work closely with The Dunsley Farm Shop and B.A.L.M.E.R.S Care Farm CIC, as well as many local educational providers, from the local college to Central Training Group. This ensures we can offer the very best progression routes.

We are able to offer both in house certificates, nationally recognised short courses with ASDAN, and accredited qualifications through NOCN (National Open College Network). We also offer a range of Maths and English qualifications, from Entry level to Level 2.

Alongside this, we have our own database of over 3,000 work experience opportunities across the county to help support our learners with gaining real work skills.

We have a limited number of places available. To refer a young person, please contact Karen Cox or alternatively use the contact us form.

Enrichment Activities

The most important part of our learning comes from real life experiences, and we believe all learners should have the opportunity to take part in social activities. From sky diving to crazy golf, team building to shopping trips, we make sure that we have monthly trips to learn and have fun!
